Blue Inferior is a manga created by Kyoko Shitō. The story is set in a polluted and desolate Earth, where only patches of land remain. The land is inhabited by both normal people and contaminated individuals known as "sub-humans." Marine, a young girl with no memories of her past, washes up on one of the inhabited lands and is taken in by Kazuya, a curious boy who loves the sea. However, rumors start to spread that Marine may be a sub-human, leading to her being locked up. Kazuya must now assist her in escaping and unraveling the mystery of her origin.
