Chicago is a Japanese near-future action manga series written and illustrated by Yumi Tamura. It is set in the middle of the 21st century, where Tokyo is expanding and suffers a devastating earthquake. Rei and Uozumi, members of the Self-Defense Force Rescue Squad Four, are sent to assist in the aftermath. However, they uncover a plot of murder and destruction that wipes out their entire squad. To uncover the mystery, they join a privately funded hostage rescue organization called Chicago. Now, Rei searches for her own salvation while saving the lives of others. Chicago is praised for its hardcore content and unique portrayal of characters.
