Gunparade March is a Japanese video game released in 2000 for the PlayStation. It was developed by Alfa System and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game received a manga adaptation and an anime television series. The story is set in a world where an alien race called the Phantom Beasts has taken over more than half of the Earth. In 1999, high school students are drafted as HWT pilots to fight against the invaders. The 5121st Platoon, consisting mainly of drafted students, struggles to defeat the Phantom Beasts while leading normal lives. The game won the 32nd Seiun Award for Best Dramatic Presentation and was nominated for Game of the Year at the Japan Game Awards.
