Othello is a shōjo manga series by Satomi Ikezawa. It follows the story of Yaya, a shy Japanese teenager with a split personality. The manga centers around Yaya's passion for singing, Japanese rock music, Gothic Lolita, cosplay, and her love for music in general. However, Yaya harbors a secret: When she looks in a mirror or hears music, her alter ego, Nana, takes over. The series explores the constant struggle and flip-flop between Yaya and Nana, resembling the board game Othello's black and white pieces. Othello was serialized by Kodansha in Bessatsu Friend and is distributed by Del Rey Manga in North America. It consists of seven tankōbon volumes.
