Tokyo Mew Mew is a Japanese manga series created by Reiko Yoshida and illustrated by Mia Ikumi. It was serialized in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine from September 2000 to February 2003. The story focuses on five girls infused with the DNA of endangered animals, giving them special powers to transform into Mew Mews. Led by Ichigo Momomiya, they protect Earth from aliens who want to reclaim it. The manga was adapted into a 52-episode anime series.
