There are two goddesses, Entanglia and Vidualia.
They both read human papers from the divine world.
Entanglia
This paper is about the universal limit on spatial quantum superpositions with massive objects.
Vidualia
What does 'spatial quantum superpositions' mean?
Entanglia
It means that an object can exist in two different places at the same time.
Vidualia
Oh, like being in two places at once? That's fascinating!
Entanglia
Yes, exactly. But this paper is talking about how big objects, not just small particles, can be in superpositions.
Vidualia
How do they do that?
Entanglia
Well, they use something called 'phonons' which are sound waves within the object.
Vidualia
So, the object makes sounds and that helps it be in two places at once?
Entanglia
Not exactly. The phonons are created during the splitting process of the object, and they play a role in creating the superposition.
Vidualia
I see. So, in the future, humans might be able to create superpositions with big objects using this phonon channel?
Entanglia
It's possible, but creating such superpositions is currently very difficult because of environmental decoherence.
Vidualia
What is environmental decoherence?
Entanglia
It means that the object interacts with the environment and loses its delicate quantum state, becoming more like a classical state.
Vidualia
Ah, I see. So, even though it's challenging, scientists are working on suppressing this decoherence in the future.
Entanglia
That's right. With advancements in technology, it might be possible to create superpositions with massive objects.
Vidualia
I can't wait for humans to understand the quantum world even better!
Entanglia
It will be a fascinating future indeed, Vidualia.
And so, Entanglia and Vidualia continue their journey of understanding and exploring the wonders of quantum physics.
Vidualia
I got the idea for the poem from that paper.

In the realm where atoms dance,

A battle cry of quantum chance.

Massive objects, brave and bold,

Meet a limit, we are told.

Phonons whisper their decree,

No superpositions, can they be.

Yet still, the mysteries unfold,

In quantum's grip, a story untold.
